Spring-issue Reading Period December 1, 2009 - March 26, 2010 Note Regarding All Submissions Regardless of submission genre, one must input their high school name and their grade in the "Comments" field on the submission form; failure to do so may disqualify your work! Literature Guidelines The Marble Collection boasts the finest student literary works in fiction, non-fiction (creative or academic), & poetry. Material length, style, and subject matter are entirely up to the author. We do not impose word limits, however the quality of the piece must justify the space it takes up in the magazine. Each writer may submit two total submissions per reading period, regardless of genre. Please indicate simultaneous submissions to other publications as you upload your work(s). Notify us upon acceptance elsewhere as we do not reprint previously published work(s). The only formats we accept are DOCX, DOC, DOTX, DOT, RTF, and TXT. Do not send duplicate submissions; take care that the work you submit is the final draft. Do not submit more than two works per reading period or all works will be discarded unread. Do not send submissions via email; submit online only Art Guidelines To upload artwork or photographs, scan items as a greyscale, line art, or color file of at least 200 dpi and smaller than 10mb when saved. Save all items as a PICT, JPEG, or PNG. Do not scan as a halftone. Do not send artwork that contains copyrighted material. Music Guidelines The only formats we accept are MP3, AAC, WAV, and FLAC. If encoding in MP3 or AAC, please ensure that your bitrate is less than 256 kbps. Files must be less than 20mb. Do not send music that contains copyrighted material. Video Guidelines The only formats we accept are MOV, AVI, MPEG and WMV. "NOTE: If video submission exceeds 100MB, please email submission.tmc@gmail.com for further submission instructions." Do not send a video that contains copyrighted work, such as music videos or movie clips.
